I have heard more than once that love is a conscious decision. By now I am sure that whoever said that was not truly in love. Mark my words, true love is not rational (but it will make sense).
I am pretty sure that you can grow to love someone, like those guys/girls that someday realize they are in love with their best friends; or that person at school/work/gym that ends up winning a heart. That might be love, but sure as hell it isn’t true love. That’s the kind of love that most persons have to settle for. There are seven billion people in the world, if we assume that each one is entitled to one true love, what are really the odds of coinciding with it? Slim to none? Even if you don’t know jack about statistics you would come up with a number close to some billions to one. Slim to none indeed.
So, as I was saying before, is easier to settle. To be happy with love as perfect as it may come outside true love. A person adequate to share your life with. As most persons will never find anything better than this, for them that is what love is.
I am not saying that that situation isn’t OK, I mean, it is the best you can realistically hope for.
Unless you find true love.
True love is absolute and absorbing. It is warm as the summer and it runs at its own time, which is always right.
I could expand effortlessly on true love, but the truth is those who haven’t felt it will not understand and those who have need no further explanation.
